Located in mature temperate rainforest, the Blue Derby mountain bike trails take you through some of the most stunning of Tasmanian landscapes.

The story of Derby Mountain Biking

On February 7th 2015 the Dorset Council officially launched the first 20km of the now 120km of Blue Derby Trail Network. However the Blue Derby mountain bike trails project has been a joint initiative between the Dorset Council and Break O Day Council with funding support from the Australian Federal Government.
Blue Derby has a mix of mountain bike trails from easy to extremely difficult trails. Hence the park caters for families and professional riders. Most recently the Derby Lake (a former mining hole) has been opened up with tracks better suited to beginner riders.
