November 2022: John Gibb lead an acrylic seascapes art retreat at Tin Dragon Cottages. As part of the retreat, the art students immersed themselves in the beauty of the Bay of Fires. This developed a better appreciation for their seascapes subject. On the final day there were smiles all round, as students proudly showed off their near-to-complete works of art!

From Maggie: I certainly have many happy memories to treasure, e.g. yours, Grahams and James’s hospitality, cooking and friendliness for a start, the lovely decorated cottages (I’ve never had one to myself before – it was so relaxing!) – and the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for the photos. It is nice to have one of John, such a gentle man.

Acrylic seascapes art retreat highlights
Art students enjoyed a bush picnic in the shade near Binnalong Bay. They were entertained by their guides Brendan (Tailored Trails) and James (Tin Dragon Cottages), and John Gibb with stories-and some tall tales-about the history of the North East region.
We kept the tasty local food coming!
The engaging business of making art…
All our art students commented about how much they had learnt – and how much they enjoyed the seascapes retreat. Thank you John!
