The Ringarooma Textiles Group invites you to attend a field day at Tin Dragon Cottages. There will be demonstrations of alpaca fibre processing using a mini-mill and hand-spinning. Unlocking Colour DNA
Led by Tasmania’s only awarded coloured pencil Master (Australia/Canada), Richard Klekociuk, you will learn and experience the art of colour profiling, three-dimensional drawing and abstraction (the latter without losing your subject’s integrity). You will analyse the colour structure of the surrounding forest and river in a North East Tasmania rainforest setting.

You will explore our farm and surrounding bush to find interesting objects. Then you will use your collected objects and natural vegetation to create embellished eco-dyed textiles. The end results of this workshop could be embellished piece(s) of cloth or garments, a soft sculpture, a book cover or a wall piece. Writing, drawing and meditations are on the cards too as are conversations about things which matter….and much more!

We are taking up to (max) 12 participants (minimum four) for each workshop, so you can experience personal one-on-one painting tuition in our purpose-built workshop space.
